Do I still need a reservation if I have the pass?Updated 3 months ago

Yes. The America the Beautiful Annual Pass covers entrance fees, but it does not replace timed-entry or day-use reservation requirements.

How It Works

Some popular parks require a reservation in addition to the pass, especially during peak season. When booking your reservation, you can apply your pass toward the entrance fee portion — but you still must present the physical pass at the park gate.

Parks That May Require Reservations

Reservation requirements change seasonally. Parks that have required timed-entry or day-use reservations in recent years include Yosemite, Rocky Mountain, Glacier, Acadia, and Haleakala, among others.

Important

Check the details for your specific destination before visiting, as reservation requirements can change with limited notice. Having a pass does not guarantee entry to parks with capacity limits or reservation systems — it only covers the entrance fee.
