How does the pass signature work?Updated 3 months ago

Your America the Beautiful Annual Pass arrives unsigned with no name printed on it. There is a single signature line on the back of the card.

Who Should Sign

Whoever signs the back of the pass becomes the permanent pass holder. That person must present the pass with their matching photo ID at every park entrance. It does not need to be the person who purchased the pass — this is what makes it work as a gift.

Once Signed

  • The pass is permanently assigned to the signer
  • It is non-transferable — it cannot be lent to someone else to use
  • It cannot be returned or refunded

Before You Sign

Make sure the right person signs. If the pass is signed by the wrong person, it is permanently assigned to them and is no longer eligible for return. Only sign when you're ready to use it.
