What is the America the Beautiful Annual Pass?Updated 3 months ago
The America the Beautiful Annual Pass is a physical card that provides entrance to over 2,000 federal recreation sites for 12 months. It is accepted at sites managed by the National Park Service (NPS), U.S. Forest Service (USFS), U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (FWS), Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Bureau of Reclamation (BOR), and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).
How It Works
Present the pass with a matching photo ID at any participating park entrance. The pass arrives unsigned — whoever signs the back becomes the permanent pass holder.
Who Gets In
- Per-vehicle sites: The pass holder plus all passengers in one non-commercial vehicle
- Per-person sites: The pass holder plus up to 3 additional adults (4 adults total)
- Children 15 and under are always free
Validity
The pass is valid for 12 months from the month it ships (the hole-punched month), expiring on the last day of the 12th month. For example, a pass punched for August 2025 is valid through August 31, 2026.
Pricing
- Resident Annual Pass: $80 (U.S. residents with valid government-issued ID)
- Non-Resident Annual Pass: $250 (provides the same access)
Important
Screenshots, confirmation emails, and receipts are not accepted for park entry — only the physical pass with matching photo ID. There is no digital version sold by US Park Pass. Limit of 5 passes per customer.
